Here is my interpretation of the inspiration.

I went for vintage papers and look. In fact, these photos are more than a decade old.

The middle one is courting days..... the other 2 are 'pre-kids'.

I use our theme verse (wedding) as the title and journaling.

But I also hide journaling to document my reflections for the theme verse. How we made it work!

I made some flowers by cutting motifs from this Graphic 45 papers. Love these papers!

To highlight the cute polka dot and cherry paper, I 'frame' it up with some Maya Road sheers.

You probably have guessed...... I also submitted this for Graphic 45 Feb Challenge.

DT work for YSS, plus Scrap Schemes

Ok... it's been a week since I post. Here are some stuff for YSS as well as Scrap Schemes. 1) Mini Album for YSS I wanted a mini album to remember the relationship between me and my older girl. I became a stay at home mom because of her, right? Anyway, here is to the adventures we shared over the years. She is 8 now and I really want to go back in time where she is little. I love this project. Notice I use the cupcake as a tab! Yay... I tried 2 of them and I totally love it! I kept the design really simple... using scallop edges and my circle scallop punch! Really easy to do! Hope you like it. 2) Fashion SO wrong? My little Ms ellise loves fashion but sometimes it is very wrong. Like wearing goggles for this hair-do is not my idea.......... it is HERS and she is so cool about it! I scraplift this from Juliana Michaels. She posted this at CMK gallery. She is an amazing talent. Love what she did with the eyelet and the frame. When I scraplift, I believe in giving credit to the person. 3) DT for Scrap Schemes Join in this week for some cool inspiration. Come over to this challenge blog and take a shot at it. You can win that huge pack of goodies! HERE. Yes.. I know... this must be a long post. I received a award from Sharon Ong. Here is it: Thanks Sharon for taking I am creative.... I never think of myself that way....... esp when I am still spooked by my art teacher... she failed my art when i was only 13 yrs old. Hahaha... i need some therapy for that! But I am going to play this award thingy differently...... instead of just nominating them... anyway, I dont expect them to pass it on cos this award thingy has been going around. But I like the essence and spirit of this award so I am going to tell you whose blog I stalk and why I like each of them, ok! A) Audrey Pettit She does very elegant pieces of LOs and art. She does very classy colours and make it look so effortless. I called her the Jackie O of scrapbooking. Always beautiful, classy and elegant! Check out her blog here. B) Sasha Farina I love her use of colours.... she has amazing talent in using lots of colours and not make me go blind. And her LOs are very simple yet it shows amazing design. I just love her work! She teaches classes at Laines... and she is pure creativity, oozzing from her. She plays with many techniques, media.... totally fun! And she thinks and dreams of project from scratch. D) Emily Mae Anderson I like her style. Something funky... something fun! Something you wont expect.... and she makes it look so good! Check out her use of colours! Her works are very original. Check out her blog here. G) Ronda Palazzari There is a certain calmness about her art. She does not over do things. And I love her amazing talent is putting things together. Her LOs are sooooo captivating......... it just makes you go "Wow"..... she is a truly creative..... Check out her blog here. H) Annabelle O'Malley She does cards so so beautiful.... I can't describe the beauty of her works enough. Just very gorgeous. Did I tell you the amazing talent she is in putting details on her cards and art. I am very inspired. Listen to your heart

I am in a state of hopeless devotion to my Webster Pages...... some of you will notice I have been using WP in my recent LOs.......... really I looooooooove it so much!

I love to cut up the papers... layering over... with lace, flowers... and Hamblys... seriously in love with them all. I trace a scallop pp to a WP paper.......... use a white pen to draw a frame...... simple!

Listen to your heart

Journaling: Mar 2008, communication with you was tough. Nothing got thru. You were acting up, frustrated. Crying alot.... anxious..... yet doesn't want to talk much. We seemed to lose our connection. One day i was talking to your dad about this problem. He said "LISTEN to her"... I was defensive.... "what do you mean, I wasn't listening?" Everyday I am listening.

You dad said these words of wisdom which jostled me "Listen to her.... I mean her 'nonsense".... her silly jokes.. her goofy antics with her classmates... that's a part of her right now. Then slowly she will tell you the more serious, the issues weighing her heart. You got to be patient, to get past the trivial first.

Then i realised I have been falling short in this area.... i have been listening to what I want to hear.... to what I like to know.... I am too impatient. I brushed off a part of you.... the part where you tend to notice funny, silly things. I am not listening.... I am so sorry... I will try again.

I will learn to listen, to pay attention, to be there, to listen to ALL of you, to listen to your world, your perspective. Months have passed since... things have improved. I am grateful fo rthis learning experience- the art of listening. I've not mastered it full but I am still trying. To listen with my ALL, to ALL you are!

Titled: Little Miss DIVA

Yes.. I got to scrap about this little diva.

Journaling: You definitely have the making of a diva. Whenever we go out, you will grab your little bag and sunglasses and your baby Ashley. But poor Ashley is always "clothes-less". I dont understand why. You just like it that way, even though we have nice dresses for her. You just love your little Ashley. And of course, I end up carrying you, your bag, your baby when you are tired. Truly a diva.

DT Scrap Schemes

Finally, I can reveal this. I have been hiding my excitement. Today is the launch of Scrap Schemes new DT team as well as their new inspiration. Totally COOOOOOOOOL! Come over and play. Look at that goodies... you can win it! Here is my inspiration: "Music to my heart" I was inspired by the black and white scheme. But to make it less boring, I played with textures like Hamblys, covered a chipboard with gaffer tape, I embossed a heart with some glitter powders. Used the Maya Road Sheers as well the sheer ribbons. This music chipboard (Maya Road) is my fav. I covered it with 7G gaffer tape... oh.. I love that polka dots. Journaling: When you first started formal lessons, we wont sure you will like it. 2 years later, you are still enjoying it. You told me you want to play for God. You want to serve in the worship team. This is truly music to my heart!
