Here's another one

Here's another LO done for YSS using Pink Paislee Cupid papers and Elle's Studio tags. Love how the tags add a vertical interest to the page. LOVE My fav has to be the pleating.... I added my shabby chic touches.. I distress the edges of the papers first before pleating.... more textures that way! You like it? Love this big chipboard letter from Maya Road. Just mist it with Maya Mist(Red) and it gets that nice intense colour. THen I inked the edges a bit for definition. That XOXO tag from Elle Studio will house my journaling... it can be pulled out. Just playing with papers... I roll some strips of paper and made this 'weird' flower.. hahaha.. dont know what to call it but a happy accident, I guess. Then I just add some trims for the centers.
All supplies provided by YSS.

Websters Feb Challenge

This month over at Websters Pages, the challenge is to print your photo onto pattern paper. Lucy Edson gave a simple tutorial on how to do this. I just had to try it. So much texture and interest on the photo. I select a light color paper (I think it was the Christmas papers) and edited my photo with Photoshop. Love this photo of my girl holding my hand when she sleeps. Read my journaling later, ok!!! Get a kleenx ready! LOL "Hold My Hand"....... This LO was inspired by 3 different parts: First, Lucy challenge at Websters. Second: this local magazine in Singapore. Can you spot the blues, pinks and yellows I just love love this combination. So ethereal and soothing!!! Thirdly, I am inspired by Jaz's way of transforming the Christmas Paper. She painted it pink. I chose yellow and white paints....and mist with Shimmerz Sea Foam (blue)... it was babe-licious colours. I dab some pink (Worn Lipstick) crackle paints at the edges. Then I misted again with Pearl Mists (Maya Road) See the shimmer.... that is the Pearl Mist. I highly recommend that!!! YSS has that mist. Here how the Shimmerz and the Maya Mist looks. Gorgeous-ness together! A detailed shot: I love the Elle's Studio journaling cards (provided by YSS). it was a Valentine theme card but I used it for this baby LO. And did you spot that BLUE circle with our hands holding together. I mist it with a circle mask!!! Simple to do.... focus point for my story. And now, journaling: You are going thru a separation anxiety phrase... prob becos u started pre-school. Before you sleep, you need to hold my hand. That gives you peace and security. Sweetie, just know that I am always here for you. And to share some thing deep in my heart: Someone asked me why I was not chosen for DT for Websters...... Honestly I dont have an answer for that. I was pretty disappointed when the announcement was made. I honestly was happy for the 2 girls, Karola and Steph... they do gorgeous creations. I went thru some self evaluation and also 1 day to reflect. And of course, I think I have lots of room for improvement esp in the photo dept. I guess this whole DT ... nobody will know. Am I angry or bitter.... NO WAY! I refused to go down that road of resentment. I am still in love with Websters ...... I am still creating with their stuff. That's speaks of my love still. And I will be forever grateful to Terri and Brandin for giving me a chance to Guest DT for them. So, take life as it comes... celebrate.... and be thankful!

Wow... a box from YSS came in on Wed... I couldn't wait to scrap it. I have not been scrapping since Chinese New Year and it is killing me. Finally, back to my scrapping therapy. I get to play with Pink Paislee "Cupid" papers. Lovely shades of pink and blues. You know me... I had to go the shabby chic way.... I distress the papers.... dab some pink paint here and there... Pardon my photos... i used a old camera and it was yucky..... my new one went into the repair shop and never came back. I am still calling them to trace it. SIGH Back to this layout, my fav picture of my little ms kwok. She is a pro at scooter-ing around. I am so proud of her... She can really balance that thing so well. Zip here, zoom that.... she is one fearless gal! Did you know my photo are better and clearer.... one of 2010 resolution is to do better photography and learn photoshop. I did... still learning... but overall, so satisfied with myself... I took the plunge into the world of PS. I am a little outdated, right... ... I have a fear of computers. LOL Here is a album... i wanted to make a stand alone frame for 1 photo.. dont know what call this!!! I tore and distress the mailer box Erica (YSS) sent me... lots of work, though. But I enjoy the process alot. De-stress! I used strip of fabric to hold the frame together. And here... how it looks when you open it up! See this cute face. She is the little baby! Yes.. today she is 3, can skip, hop and zip around in a scooter. How time flies. This face just makes me smile. I just browse my pictures and found this pic of her when she was 6 months old. We went wild when we saw this. Isn't she a cutie. Details: This trim is so vintage and cute. Love it. Roll it up and make a flower.
Oh... the shimmerz paints.. love this pink blingz. Just had to use some!
The MS heart punch out..... I painted Shimmerz over... lovely bling!

Dec album (inside pages)

Here are the inside pages of my Dec Album. Section 1: We took a short vacation to Hong Kong. Here is the cover for that section. I found this canvas tag from my old old stash of MM papers. Of course, my little ms kwok had her ears pierced... a moment to record! She cried for a short while. That's her BFF comforting her. So cute girls! Then Christmas came... I made this tree from the papers and hang some tags on it. The girls receiving their presents.. what joy and excitement!
And we took time to make some family projects...
and my little ms kwok helping to clean the kitchen. Isnt she cute!
And 1 last section: I cover this with Hambly and insert in all the Christmas cards we received. Cool way to keep those cards.
And of course, they were more pages but just too many.. I picked some for this blog post.
I forgot to mention, this Dec 09 album is for my DT assignments for YSS.
And hop over cos this week is my turn for blog posts.
You can join in the sketch, and some contests which will win you some CHA Winter 2010 goodies.

More projects

Today I want to share a album I made from 'nothing'.... as in nothing pre-made. I bought a box of biscuits the other day and it came packaged in this cute corrugated board. I see a book cover immediately. Woohoo..... ! Sorry... I am just too lazy to crop away my big toe...... hahaha.... From the above, I transformed into this cute mini album. My Dec daily kinda of album....... after finishing this album then I realised our family did so many fun stuff together. My kids now love love this album cos there are such good memories of their 'holidays'...... Dec (in Singapore) is usually like a holiday period, kids are off from school..... Christmas... taking vacations.... etc. I made 4 sections inside (all Graphic 45 papers)......... and sew papers together and then I punch hole and tie them to the spine of the album. See it looks like this:
I sprayed 2 types of mists over the cover....
Will post some pages soon....... i counted.. there are 48 pages... hee..hee... 4 sections with some sheets and hamblys each. I like that they are different sizes so one pattern paper peeks into the next. Nice! I like!
And I am so thankful for all your birthday wishes. Thank you for every comment and wishes you made! God bless you

It's my day!!!!

Yay... it is my birthday today and I celebrated with the people I loved. I didn't want a cake.. just not a 'cake' person so i asked hubby for Royce Chocolate... the ultimate choco-aholic dream. The yummy Nama chocolate. It just melts in your mouth. But the kids want candles and sing the BD song... so we lit a little candle and put it on the box of the choco. LOL. See this gorgeous bouquet....... it's from my lovely girl friend. And this dream toy... wow.... a bunch of my beloved friends bought me this as a surprise.... they had to ask hubby as a spy... what shall we give her.... a personal photo printer... wow.. that's so generous of them!!! I love ya! haha.... so what did the hubby get me? Still on the way from USA....... hee..hee.. And my little darling girls..... she gave me a little bottle of colourful sand .... is she cute!!! I told her I will hang that in one of my mini albums....... so cute and tiny.... totally adorable. Show you next time. Thanks for dropping by. I am a very loved girl today! Thank God for all his blessings
