Color Combo Galore #190

Hello friends, I am back!!! I like to invite you to hop over to CCG #190 reveal. >>Here Gorgeous inspiration awaits you! And join in the fun too! A generous sponsored prize from Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker. She sponsored the entire Design Team from CCG...... how big hearted is she!!!
Is these colors just lovely???? Here's my inspired creation "stay close" I love the muted colors...... I went for a artsy look..... spilling paints and crackle paints here and there. I like the whole random look with lots of layers! And I purposely 'blur' the photo a bit to give it a different feel.
My fave has to be the Sizzix die cut butterfly. I use a wood sheet from Creative Imaginations. This products is fun! I stamped on it and inked it a bit...... I love that vintage shabby feel, like i found this butterfly in grandma's stash!!! LOL These products are available at our LSS now. Check out Made With Love.
If you have not tried out the challenge at CCG, I like to nudge you a bit!! Go over and try!!! See you soon! Today will be a scrappy happy day!

“My Core’dinations Creative Frenzy”

Here are some fun ways to use cardstock from Coredinations.
First up is this layout I created using a piece of cardstock. I 'moulded' it to shape like a frame. Yes......... WATER + paper is so much fun! I soaked the entire cardstock in water and then dry it a bit. While it is damp, I put a acrylic block 5x7' and mould it around this block, to form the frame. Next I ink it, distress the edges, splatter some paints and glitter. This is a FUNNNNNN........ FUN technique. Try it!
I created a card with this embossed cardstock.
A fun way to play with it is sanding. But I want to share another way: the breaking down of the layers of fibers of the cardstock. First, wet the tip of the paper. Slowly separate the layers of fibers. I called this "paper wetting techniques" I taught this in my classes many times and people are always amazed!!! You will be able to peel off a bit.... leave it there to show the contrast of shades (pink in this card) Have fun! Paper + water may not be a disaster after all
A layout using the beautiful butterfly embossed cardstock. Sanding it is so much fun!
Ok, I hope you had fun with these fun tips.

Happy News!!! I have been invited to be Guest Designer over at Pencil Lines this week. Check out >>> HERE. Go over and leave me some love!!! I am so thrilled when Anna sent me the invitation. I love their sketches. You can join in and use their sketches, which are so versatile. Some techniques: I cut the large butterfly at the left corner and apply a coat of Rock Candy to give it a clear and crackle effect Some misting here and there on the cream cardstock ohhh..... the box pleating.... taught by Susan Stringfellow.... underneath the row of photos.... can you spot it? I apply some white crackle paint too. Hope you like my layout this week. Thanks for dropping by. Have a great week ahead
