Favorite of 2010 - Part 1

A year has passed.... memories edged in our hearts........ beautiful moments captured! This has been a great year! I am thankful for the journey...... the new experiences...... new skills picked up(photoshop, lol)..... I am learning to be confident in my style of scrapping.... Textures, layering, distressing.... colors.... There is a sense of romanticism mixed with whimiscal softness to most of my layouts! Ok, so what style do you call mine? LOL Here's a review of some of my favorite works for 2010: Beam : New Technique I learnt.... gesso a plain CS and then play with diluted paints to create your own background. Sweetheart: I love the bright vibrant colors on this page Bond: My signature style of textures, layering and distressing! All so me! Look up: A new way of playing with die cut paper. Tilt it for a change! How fun! Favorite things: Colors, colors and spray inks!!! All up my alley! Tag: a fun way to create a cute border. Dressform: I love the bodice MOST. Creating with Websters Ruffle Trim. So Hollywood, so glam! I like Ok, that's all for now! It is hard picking my favorites! I realise telling the STORY is important for me! The journaling, the photo... scrapping is NOT about major 'decoration' only! It is about capturing the stories for my family!
Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Christmas Presents.........

Hi friends, how was your Christmas! 2 days before Christmas, I fell sick....... really bad flu bug and I had to lie in bed for 2 days. What a bummer!!! By Christmas Day, I was much better and so thankful I can sit up and spend time with family and friends. Here's a project I did with my children: Wrapping presents for their favorite church pastors and teachers. I used some older collection of Websters and decorate these brown lunch bags. I used a Vellum here and I really love the sentiments on this paper. And this cutie... my girl made this for her favorite pastor. What a cute deer! And this one for a special lady. Layering vellum with paper! Simple and sweet wrappings! We put a OPI Nail Polish in each of these bags! Hope you had a great holiday season! See you in 2011. Happy New Year to you!

A post full of Webters!!!

It's time for our MOnday sketch over at THE SCRAPPIEST. >>> here. My version "Chef"........ I use the lovely Sweet Season for this sketch and the papers, embellishments from WP just suits the story i want to tell here. Lots of distressing, inking.... tearing.... folding... just love adding my touches!!! And the Websters Classes continues to inspire me: I love Iris' Dressform challenge. And the good thing is I manage to cart this lovely back from Penang. What a nice treat, now i can use it immediately for this challenge. I made a ruffle bodice toga piece with this white Websters Trim. Love love it! And the lovely flower bouquet from Websters. We can add our own touches to it. I punch a butterfly from the Vellum piece and added the sparkle button. Next challenge is Ellen's Table Setting. She has such cool and easy-to-make ideas. I made place cards for my Christmas lunch. Pray hard I will not burn the lunch or else everyone eats takeout pizza!!! *haha* ok, that's all for today. I am one happy gal after playing with Websters! And I have more ideas swirling in my head..... still wanting to create more with WP!

I love playing with the Vellum from Websters. .See I dab a bit of white paint on the edges too. Festive Wrapping by Hilde. I made a gift bag and made some pleats and fold it up to make a fan at the top. A nice touch for the gift. Added some berries, bloomers and buttons. Seriously I love all things Websters!!! And this one... 'normal' wrapping except I folded pleats to top it off. I just love adding textures... with the twine as well. Hope this inspires you for your Christmas wrapping!!!
