CP4U + Pencil Lines

hello friends, I am back with another 2 layouts............. I went into some very productive scrapping this week! Using Pencil Lines #41, this multi photo sketch is so fun! My take "Language of Love"............ I kept to the grid....... but delete some elements. Using Color Combo#163 of teal, red & white. I kept this to my shabby chic style, distress the edges, ink with red. Over at Creative Prompts for you#38..... this week's prompt is so fun! Hop over!!! HERE I also used a Pencil Lines Sketch #76 here, switched the circle element to a butterfly. Some random stitching...... Oooo.... my fave misting.... yellow and black... I really like how this turned out. The yellow, black and grey worked so well. I am loving the Pink Paislee papers and embellishments. Can you spot my new bob hair style? I crop it shorter this time. Ok, I had so much fun this week. I finished a total of 6 LOs using Pencil Lines sketches. I hope to win some prizes!!! LOL.... Btw, I am giving a RAK.... remember? To a person who can guess how many Pencil Lines sketches I will do up this week? I may just squeeze in another 1-2 more... keep guessing! Read my 2 posts before this!!! Check out my other Pencil Lines layouts! Thanks for dropping by! Have fun!

Pencil Lines Part 2

Hello friends, I am having a blast with the Pencil Lines celebration this week. Have you seen it? Hop over cos it is so much fun to see sketches interpreted in different styles. I chose to work with this sketch #43 from Pencil Lines. Larrissa did an amazing piece with this. Here's my interpretation....... "fell asleep in 1 Sec"
I like the vertical stip of 3 photos but my photos just dont stack well together so I chose this piece of Websters Paper to replace the vertical photos and place my photos on the side.
This is 1 way of moving the elements of the sketch around.
This little niece of mine is totally cute. My hubby just held her in his arms for 1 second and she just dozes off like that. With both hands in 'surrender' position. So cute!
And here's another sketch I tried.... sketch #108...
Karola, another of my fave scrapper tried this. Her soft and beautiful LO just amazes me!
Love her style too!
Here's mine.......... "Spread your wings" ............
I like the circle element but I can't find any I like... so I replace it with a doily.
This doily is a treasure find!!! LOL.......
And I went with the soft theme... cos the little princess is such a girly girl!
Some close up shots:
Can you spot I stamp some butterflies on pink pp?
See my crepe paper (pink) with some stitching? Oh, did you spot my splatter of white paints on the background paper.
My own touches........ used lots of Melissa Frances goodies here.
I am also loving my new Photo Actions. See this vintage action on the photo.
I Loooovvvveeee it!
Ok, I am done with 4 sketches as of today.
what is your guess? Saw my last post.
Make a guess how many layouts I will make from these Pencil Lines sketches.
Their deadline is 23 Oct.
Thanks for dropping by!

Celebrate with Pencil Lines

Pencil Lines is celebrating their 4th birthday. This is a great feat for any challenge site. I want to extend my congratulations to Anna and her team. What fabulous inspiration every week!!! On Sunday, they reveal a DT and their choice of sketch every hour. I have to say i was stalking their blog. Such gorgeous inspiration. I want to jump in and do some serious scrapping this week. These are 2 i did..... all with 2 hours. Why I love sketches: 1) They do most of the work for me. 70% done.. I just add 10% colors (choice of pp), 10% embellishments and 10% wendy's touches like distressing or inking or misting!!! I like to do such scrapping quick and fast esp when I know I have lots to scrap 2) I like that I can add or delete elements........ so cool, right! I didn't know about this till I got a sketch book. 3) I like to see different interpretation of the same sketch. It is like friends buying the same blouse and let's see what accessories you will wear it with. I love such mystery and reveals. Anyway, said too much.. :) Sketch by Anna My take "Sweet" Sketch 148 My take "Blessings"....... Hope this has inspire you to join in! See you soon with my next few sets of sketches I want to take part in. Now, I want you to guess how many sketches will I complete by 23 Oct. I will send a person with a RAK (full of seam binding) if you can guess the correct number of sketches i will use from Pencil Lines. Just to give you a clue: NOw i have completed the 2 above, I am finishing 1 on the way. Hmm..... how many in total will I participate in? I dont know too....... I am just scrapping as I go this week. How fun!!!!

The Scrappiest #86

"Smile" ......... Hello friends, it's happy Monday again! This week, I bring you Sketch #86 from The Scrappiest. I also use this to participate in The Color Room #28 challenge. Using Purple, Yellow, Grey & White. Sounds challenging, that's why I want to play along. These are the colors I dont normally use! LOL. I like these purple blooms so i use them in little dosage for this color combo. Can you spot the seam binding I misted with Glimmer Mist Black Magic. It turned out so beautifully grey..... with a touch of gold glimmer. Nice!!! I like! The story: My little girl has this sweetest smile whenever I pick her up from school. It is a smile that speaks to me "Mommy, I am so glad to see you." "Mommy, I miss you".... it is as if her eyes are beaming at me with that longing and 'missing me' message. I love love my little girl so much! So, hop over to these sites and play along. Sometimes it just helps jump start our scrapping mojo! See you soon!

A few of my favorite things...........

**** updates(13 Oct): I just finished teaching 2 scrapbook classes back to back in a one day! It was a blast. I will be back soon with some new projects. Meanwhile, if you have been wanting to take my class, there are 2 slots which opened up on 16 Oct (Sat) at Made With Love. I know the wait list has been tough, it is hard to put everyone in. So here's a little breather... 2 slots for you if you can make it. Call 62388770 today. ******* Sometimes I am attracted to brighter colors than I normally use. These color from Websters Pages "Sweet Season' just lighten up my day! So I use these papers and embellishments for THE SCRAPPIEST #85 sketch.......... A few of my favorite things.................. I still like this picture of myself so i scrap it again. I listed down all my favorite things like : lace, trim, vintage, flowers.... polka dots... on this page. YOu can guess... I use lots of my fave stuff too on this page....... See the Websters Pages Netting... I made a full skirt for the dress form.. layered another trim (which I misted)....... then I color a Tattered Angel Chipboard.. is that a mirror or magnifying glass... anyway, i added a netting there... I like such subtle touches. - I misted the trim with Glimmer Mist Black Magic (another fave of mine) - I also misted the cardstock with Viva Pink and Black Magic..... nice combo - Using blings, flowers is just pure happiness for me!!! LOL And now, A RAK..... I want to thank my blog followers. It hit 60 followers last week so I did a random draw. I am always thankful for you...... visiting my blog, dropping me some love and comments. Thank you! And now................... My little vintage pack of surprise goes to..................... ......................... ............................................. .................... TOMOKO!!! Email me at solouloulou@yahoo.com ! So, what are your favorite things? Things which make you happy! Scrap them today. Enjoy your week ahead!

Hello friends, I finally figure out how to get larger pictures on blogger. Sounds ancient, right! LOL. Thanks to Lucy...... and her video.... This week over at Creative Prompts for you. We have a new prompt. Come over and join in the fun! Win some goodies! Here's my take: "Darling daughter"...... this is a recent photo of her attending a school party. Dressed in her lovely ballerina dress and she wanted her hair pleated and nicely done. Then she turned to me "I feel so pretty today"........ she is really charming, I have to admit! LOL! I used Melissa Frances papers and all of my fave stuff. - I used a Kraft Envelope from Maya Road...I stamped randomly on it... dab some white paint to give it that vintage look - I misted it with Latte (Glimmer Mist), initially it was too white for me... I need to ink and mist it a bit. That's me! - and that Jenni Bowlin Butterfly..... this is my last piece. Boohoohoo!!! I like this vintage girly page a lot! HOw about you? Have a great weekend ahead... I can't wait....... cos I will be more relaxed and I can scrap abit more! Hopefully!

Monday, October 4, 2010

Hello friends, how was your weekend? Hope it was fun! Here is this Monday's sketch over at The Scrappiest. Join in and you can win . Seriously I want to see you hop on this sketch! So much fun. "Dont forget"........ I love the title because many times we forget what is important to us. These photos are just some lazy days at Botanic Gardens... running about... laughing... just enjoying one another's company. I like such simple 'retreats'........ it is a reminder that Life has to be measured by moments... but just the big things we achieve or accomplish. I love these photos of Ellise with her Daddy... of course she can really wiggle up to daddy and get him to piggy back her. She just has her charming ways! Of course, Daddy dont mind. I just have to rub his back after that....... LOL! Capture their fun together... I am teary thinking these little kiddos will one day grow up and be away from us!!! They better not forget us, their parents! LOL! Techniques & Tips: - I misted with my fave Candy Apple and Tattered Leather (Glimmer Mists). - I love love the New Wonderfall motifs... flowers.. flowers ... nice white - since I am a 'texture' kind of scrapper, I have to add in trims and bloomers... who can resist these from Websters Pages? Ok, that's all I have for now.... more coming on Thurs ........ Have a great week ahead!
