Graphic 45

I am going to show you some close up of the Graphic 45 Altered travel box I did. I love playing with this new line of papers. Some close up shots. - I cut out many of the motifs from the papers. - To take it another level, I apply clear UTEE on some of the cut-outs. This really makes it stand out. - I layered them over one another......... then I put them on a corrugated board (i sprayed it with Glimmer mist)........... - see the white patch (like snow, right)... I like that.. that's WHITE UTEE........ it seems like this box has been thru snow and some journey. I really like the worn out look. - At the top right corner, see the 2 'stamps'..... I stamp with 'postage' mark stamps.... yes.. I love layering stamps on cut-outs to make it unique. - then I applied Gesso all over.... just dry brush... - oh.... I also love my "world traveller' stamp ALOT... I will be using them very often!

Prima Mini album

This is the full mini album I submmited for Prima's Frugal Scrapper. See my album featured here. I use the flower packaging as the backing for each page of the album. For the cover, (that's my fav)... I use a plastic cover (from Prima flower packing). I mist it with Staz-on white... added blings, flowers. For the title, I use the backing of the Prima Felt alphas... I added glossy accent and pour lots of glitter. There I have my own alphas. Cover: Close up of the alphas:
I like the girly romantic feel of this album... lots of lace (which is my signature fav).

A good day!

Well Thurs morning, we took everyone out for a visit to Marina Barrage.... this is new... much like a conservation of water and environment. I am very impressed with our govt. Such a small city but such great details to make our city a live-able place. With so much greenry planned in as well. Here are some shots of our beautiful day:
You can get a very clear view of the flyer here. Love this shot of Charis... full of energy and life!
And of course, my Graphic 45 win came in the mail today. I am SUPER impressed.
Why? Cos usually internationals wait VERY long to get their prize........... this time, I think it was only a few days. I have experienced waiting for months (which I am ok) and some didn't reach me at all..... no point pursuing! LOL!
I am also SUPER impressed with the personal touch as well.
In this package is a handwritten note by the owners. I am "old school" ........ I enjoy such simple yet touching gestures.
How cool is that?
Thanks Graphic 45. A BIG SHOUT of THANKS!
See these gorgeous papers. They are fresh from the oven. Extra special..... hee..hee.... I think this has just begin to ship......... my LSS has not gotten them yet!
Absolutely divine papers! I got many ideas swimming in my mind now! Cant wait to play with them next week.

I love this

This is my 3rd LO for YSS........Part of my DT work.
I love this LO because I returned back to my preferred style..... shabby chic..... playing with paints, stamps.... yes... I 'abused' the MM Die cut paper alot... dry brush with white paint... spy with Maya Mist.... stamp over.... crumbled it a bit....
Here is it:
"Tougher"........ I love the stamp words I did with my really really cute mini stamps from Hampton. LSS selling for $2.50...... how affordable can it be?
I added this Riff Raff tree....... I have been keeping this tree....... now it's the time to use it. I dry brush with white paint... ink the sides... added with word stamps... yay... I love this tree!
Part of the journaling:
Going thru tough times does not mean you are defeated. You will soon realise you are tougher than you think. It is an opportunity for growth.

Projects for YSS

YSS sent me these lovely collection of Making Memories Flower Patch to work with. I love it! Here they are: 1) Project - Altered Art I made this hanging frame for Charis - her schedule are all there... easy to see and she loves the colours. First I cut chipboard to 3x5" and covered them with MM Flower Patch papers. Then I use my Cropadile and punch holes at the top and bottom. Then I embellish. I use stamps to do her schedule like doing homework.... reading.. etc... Well she leaves for school at 630am and comes home at 2pm. So this is for her at home. And because she is such a routine and schedule kind of girl. She loves it! These lovely papers has lots of flowers and butterflies motifs. I love cutting them out! This chipboard bird comes from Maya Road. I added the swirls and Prima flowers. I spray Maya Mist on the flowers.... love love the colours! 2) Sporty I like that this polka dot paper match her pants.... hee..hee.. and I made this little racket using the MM packaging (from the felt alphas)........ added stitching! Voila... you get a racket. 3) Sister Inc I got this title from "Monsters Inc"........ and I want to record their goofy similar personality. And this time, they really act it up for the camera. Just had to document these moments. I cut all these rabbits from the flocked papers. I love flocked texture. And please drop by YSS: 1) There is a Basic Grey contest going on. Upload any BG LO and you can win some new stuff. 2) Guest Designer spot...... yes.. we are spying for the April GDT. Just load your art to the Guest designer gallery and Erica will pick from there! You may be the lucky one to play with some products.

Check this out

Well, the news are out. Graphic 45 has chosen its DT. I didn't get in. Yes.. sad.. a little disappointed... but well, like I said, move on! But I am certainly glad my friend, Susan Lui got in. Check out her blog. She is my LSS scrapping, buying kaki..... aka shopper friend. We help each other 'chop' things when LSS has New Arrivals........ 'chop' (in singlish)...... means to reserve........ you know, things fly off the shelves in our LSS when they launched new arrivals. It is that fast! Within 10 mins, things can be sold out. I am glad the team has a good mix....... not the usual 'celebrity' scrappers...... I am glad they are featuring new people...... love to see what they would come up with .

Graphic 45 - fun fun time

Yes... I played with these Graphic 45 papers over this week. Love it so much. BTW, did you smell it? It smell really good......... I am not joking.. you may be thinking I am a little wonky. LOL! 1) Altered frame i bought this Ikea frame with a little mirror in the middle. Love it. So much potential in this. I bought some bend-able wire as well (From Daiso) and made them into this: I called this my accessories frame, the wires hold my earrings, brooches and little trinkets. So cute! At least, I can house them here......... put this frame on my dressing table. Now, I have no excuses for not finding matching earrings. LOL!
(Sorry, this has just been picked up for PUBLICATION)......... stay tune to which mag! I cut the flowers from G45 papers.......... I love the reds and blues here. Do you? 2) LO "I see myself" I decide to do more 'ME" LO......... and I bought a 8.5x 11 for myself.... every "ME" LO is a 8.5x11 size. Then horror of horrors, I cut the black G45 paper wrongly. DUD! It was 8 inches. How? A happy mistake... I cut some lace trim and added by the side to make it 8.5". hahaha... quite smarty! I like this clean and simple LO which really showcase the gorgeous papers. 3) Love is.........
(woohoo........ this has been picked up for PUB) Yes.. you probably seen this before. I show it here to show the versatility of G45 papers. This LO, I went distressing with lots of inks and tearing....... no straight lines here. Love the grungy, vintage... shabby chic look....... this is my fav... my default style.... hidden inside.. And yes.. you guess it........ I am applying for DT for Graphic 45. Well, praying I will be in. But well, not wanting to overload myself with the expectations part...... it comes, good! I am a fan of G45 papers. So much lovely motifs on each paper..... so gorgeous colours. And the theme... amazing!
