The Scrappiest #109

This week we have a new sketch for you. This will be my last assignment with The Scrappiest. I am not applying for the next term. So ,thank you Liz for having me on the term. Fabulous inspiration every week. See all the inspiration>> HERE.
I decided to go 'purple' this week. Very bold colors from her favorite dress. Polka dots too! I think we are wearing this every sunday to church! LOL These photos were taken very near her birthday and I can see the little toddler has grown and is blooming to a girlie princess. Her smile, her charming words...... steal my heart and the Daddy's too! Here she is waving so happily when she saw her daddy in the distance.
Some techniques: 1) I used a large Prima flower and cut up the petals. Can you see the 'skirting' of purple at the left bottom. I brush some white paints over it too. Use your flowers in a creative way! Try this! 2) Flocked Rub ons - my newest fave from Prima. I love the fuzzy feel to these rub ons. What a great invention by Prima! 3) See the title "Girl"... it is actually floating... I cut a strip and instead of glueing it straight down, i only glue the end and allow the middle to float. Hmm..... do you understand me? haha... Since that paper is white, I misted it with a yellow Glimmer Mist to allow the Teal alphas to shine.
Hope you like this week inspiration. I will be back soon for more projects and layouts. Life is better now..... more organized but still I am looking forward to my children March School holidays.

Scrap and go

Hi friends, how was your week? It has been a crazy 5 days......... my little one went into ER (Emergency Room) last Friday... wee hours of the morning. Difficulty in breathing. Did we panic? Maybe I am too sleepy to be panicky. I was calmed when we were driving her there. She was not screaming.... just too tired..... bits of wheezing. The flu has quickly become bronchitis. Where did that come from? I dont know. I am just thankful God protected her. She is safe now. Breathing better. Thankful everything is on the mend! And mommy found 45 minutes to scrap and quickly launched into full swing. I am amazed how fast I scrap these days because I knew I just had that 1 hour or so. And I need to complete 2 LOs. Seriously fun!!! Like there is a hour glass beside me.. i knew I cannot think too much. Yet I knew what I wanted. A vision of the end effect and emotion. Seize the day! And off I go to zzzzzzzzzz land!!! Here's my DT assignment for THE Scrappiest. I will be stepping down after my term ends next week. Thanks Liz for having me on the team! I totally enjoyed it. And here's another DT assignment for my LSS, Made with Love. We get to use embossing powders. Just perfect for my new Prima stamps. You got to see those Prima stamps. I swear I can buy the entire range if hubby didn't whisper 'self control' into my ears!!! LOL!! Beside the birdcage stamp, this chicken wire/fence(what do you call this) stamp is my FAVE FAVE now! Alrighty, i got to catch beauty rest........ have a home made facial for the 'panda eyes' i get from lack of sleep!!! Thank you for dropping by! Have a great scrapping week ahead. Hugs*

CCG 178

Hello friends, join us this week at Color Combos Galore. You will love the sweet treats!!! I found this combo totally awesome! I took this 'lucky' picture of my niece. She was moving a lot and it has been sooo hard to capture a good shot! But this perfect one (after a few thousands, LOL!!!) is sure precious! "Cheeky" Some of my process: - I took the pink Prima paper and distress it. - Then I cut some diamond shape out to reveal more brown - I went with a vertical strip to pull the eye to the photo and then to the clusters of flowers - Next, i stamp with some butterflies around her! Ok, see you next week. I am eating too much for Chinese New Year. I can't even tell you how much I have gobbled down!!! Goodies.... And for the 2 Rak Winners, pls contact me soon. I will have to draw another winners by Monday if I do not hear from you.
