Love love love

This week, I created this little mini for someone who is battling with depression. With a heavy heart, i wrote my verses and words of encouragement for her. Really very sad to see the devastating effects of this illness. I firmly believe it can be treated with proper medication, support from friends and family and of course total healing from God. My heart goes out to all who at 1 point suffers from this illness. And sometimes I wonder what is happening to our world today. With better affluence, better advancement, but quality of life is not necessary better. I see the crippling effects...... the heavy emotions..... and sometimes affecting even the young generation, at the height of their youth and energy. WHY? I really dont know. I guess we come back to the everlasting love of God and in Him we find peace and security. Mini "LOVE"......... using lots of Prima left over papers...... using the transparent packaging as the backing for this mini do you notice that these transparent plastic has words printed on them. Love it so much!!!
Something else i noticed, in 2 of the Prima "Flight of Fancy' papers,
the words printed there are actually Fruits of the Spirit...
love joy peace patience goodness kindness faithfulness.... etc.
Did anyone noticed that???
Thanks for hearing me in this post.
Have a happy great weekend.
Oh.. btw, thank you for the 40th blog follower... (waving to you)
I will be doing a RAK for my blog followers
........ surprise pack of trims, charms... all things vintage... from me!!!
I will announced the WINNER on Monday. See you!
Thank you once again for your love and comments on this blog!
I appreciate everyone of them.

Prima BAP - MAY

I have been in a rut lately, in my scrapping. I had lots of ideas swirling in my head. But I feel so tired.... sort of zap of my energy to 'create' prob from caring for my sick kids for the past 3 weeks. Now Ellise is better, Charis is down. Sigh!!! The bad bug just keeps going around. So, today, to break out of my rut.... I took Ellise downstairs my flat, dress her up in her fairy/ballerina dress...... and click away. Yes... first of all, new photos, new composition stirs me alot. I dont scrap the same old same old photos... Then these beautiful shots of her came out.... gosh... my energy came back!!! And the good thing is she is back to her normal perky self... so today I get LOTS of good shots. She is one cooperative girl! woohoo!!! Here's what i did with the Prima BAP sketch. I rotate it a bit..... move the scallop part to the top.... added my own touches. I love the colors most of all. This just perks me up!!!! Pinks & blues... The whole color palette is just so light and airy! JOY The 'JOY" fabric words packaging is perfect for this, I love that i can journal on this green card........ I love hidden journaling How do I hold the journal card? I sew the papers on the background piece so it forms a pocket. see the sewing.... Now my fave part is hiding flower behind papers. Part of it shows forth, nice peeka-boo I wanted to squeeze another cute pic of her.. I cut up the oval made a hole and put the pic from the back. I added Liquid Pearl around it. Oh... this bird stamp from Prima is sooo vintage. I used this for my class recently and everyone loves it. We joked that the size is just right..... hahaha... not too fat... you know some bird stamps are just too fat.. it blocks other stuff ... too big... *wink*.. anyway, that's the scrap talk we do in my class. *LOL* Yes.. I know... you gals want to buy it. I have informed Elvira and Sandra((owners of my LSS) to bring these stamps in again. It was sold out in the store. That's really fast!
Another fave, the dress form. This is my 2nd piece.
Do you know where I can buy these again?
It is sold out everywhere. I REALLY need to buy MORE.
I love that pearl stub ... looks like a necklace, right?
I see a new face in my 'followers' list. thanks!
1 more to 40 and i will do a RAK again.
Every 20 followers, I will do a giveaway.
thanks for staying with me in this long post.
Thanks for dropping by. Have a great week!

It is raining Prima here!

haha... I couldn't think of a title till I saw YSS blog about raining flowers. Yes... in my previous blog.... I told you about YSS receiving a huge shipment of Prima... more than flowers... we have lace, pebbles... chipboards... everything! I load more into my shopping cart. *wink* Here's 1 I created some weeks back for the Prima DT call "Garden of my lil' secrets".......... I used the long packaging of Prima vines (i have so many of these because i teach using these in my last class)..... nobody wants the packaging, right? So i found a fun way to use them....... Close up: First I fold the long packaging into 3 parts... and I sew them into a pocket and a flap. I embellish the front with Prima, of course... LOL You can open up the flap for journaling/photo. Behind, you can tuck a note or a photo into the pocket... see that cardstock with the rose lace tab!!! The title suits the composition as well as the design. I like my LOs with details and textures........ little touches to add interest and invite the viewer to take a closer look. There are many hidden flaps and pockets... like my lil garden to hide my secrets. One of them being... I hide my new shoes under my bed!!!! hahaha... in case someone in my household is counting my shoes 'population'........... *wink* ... shhhh.. dont tell on me! Hope you like this fun project and LO!!! Use your prima packaging in new ways!

Happy vibrant days - MME

This month, I get to work with MME Quite Contrary Papers from YSS. Gorgeous brights and fun papers! Here are some of my completed assignments: "Rain"... she loves holding her umbrella..... even when it is a bright and sunny day. And she can boldly ask for RAIN!!!! LOL I like this die cut paper but it is a little too busy. Simple - just use a cardstock to balance it out. Can you spot a Prima green packaging, that's my hidden journaling. I placed the title on the umbrella die cut from MME. And this AC thicker font is my fave this season. "Salutations" I hid a big Prima Flower here.... roll and distress the papers a little.
Another one "EVERYDAY"
Every DT gets to scraplift June (BBhome)'s work this month.....
Here's my interpretation of her (Be inspired)..... I clustered a lot of embellishments around the photo.
That's June signature touches too!
Layers of paper and trim(love this trim from AC)
I misted this chipboard (everyday) with Glimmer Mist Tattered Leather.
Just love the color!
And a new flash: YSS will be having a DT call soon, so get ready your best work and submit!
Keep posting at our Gallery.
YSS is the best! Erica(owner of YSS) is sooooo sweet and generous!
YOu will love working with her!
And many gorgeous PRIMA goodies has arrived at YSS.

Some happy days

Hello friends, thanks for your well wishes and concern for my girl. Today we made a trip back to the doctor, symptons are not good so we wanted a 2nd opinion. Well, the specialist said she has Mycoplasma...... whatever that is!!!! Arrrggg....... Simply put, bad bad bacteria infection, thus the vomitting and stomache..... Now I know. Doc said condition should improve within 48 hours, now with a stronger dose of antibotics. At least we know the root cause..... keep her hydrated and she should be her perky self soon. Thank God!!! Prima announced their April BAP winner...... I didnt win!!!hee....hee.... but my LO was mentioned, along with one of my fav scrapper, Yuka. Her work is awesome! Check it out HERE. This was what I submitted. "PRAY" I like lots of layering...... shabby softness...... pink and blues and yellow. Did you see I tear the papers within the frame and put a pink paper underneath it, peeking through. I like such details and textures. Another happy news... remember my BEAM LO I did for The Color Room challenge #5. It was selected for feature. What an honor!!! Thanks Lucy for picking my LO. Tomorrow I will be teaching my Magical Wishes 4 class. See you!!! I am always excited to teach classes. So much energy and creativity flowing ...... lots of exchange of ideas....... i like!!!! And I heard it was a full class. Thanks for sharing these happy news with me!

the Flu bug strikes twice!! Arrrgggg

Hello friends, here's a tired and sick mommy waving 'Hi'...... I guess some scrapping and blogging keeps me sane! Some random facts that happen this week
  • My vacuum cleaner died.... and it went off with a blast. It 'exploded' and sparks of 'fire' went out, along with smoke. And then it trips our electricity circuit board. hahaha... what a drama!
  • My little one got hit with the nasty flu bug again!!!! Vomiting, stomach ache
  • My tooth acted up again...... this time, can't do with just cleaning or painkillers. I took it out on Tues... yucks... I hate going to the dentist. Now I can't talk much. This is NOT the worst part... I got to do dental implants in 2 months time...... the thoughts just freaks me out. The drama unfolds when I was at the dentist. My hands were shivering..... my body went weak when they inject into my gums and yank out that tooth.

Now onto happier stuff, scrapping! I manage to complete 2 mini this week for YSS.

"Wedding Album" using Teresa Collins. Lots of lovely cuts out.

Baby Album for my soon coming niece........ I titled it 'of cm and Kg' cos that how we measure (in metric) in Singapore. Each page has a calendar with Height and Weight. I love this piece of paper from Teresa Collins.

INside: Simple and easy for my Sister's journaling and recording.

Hop over to YSS....... more new arrivals this week.

Oh... another happy matter. I may be travelling to Brisbane during June. I think it is end June.

Any recommendations of scrapping stores. hee..hee.. i had to check them out. I know some Aussie friends do drop by here, it will be nice to hear from you. (Waving to you!)

TCR + Prima + Ingvild's sketch

Wow... when The Color Room launch the new palette this morning. I had to dive in and try. And I am marrying a sketch from Ingvild Bolme's weekend Sketch#2. HERE You got to check out her blog. My favorite scrapper. She has good techniques.... but what I really love is her composition. It's not only about good 'decorations' ...... piling on the scrappy stuff... she tells the story of the subject thru design, color, emotions as well. See and you know why.

Here's mine: BEAM

I made my own background.

Will share a tutorial next time. I brush some gesso on white cardstock. Then I dab diluted green paint (the shade I wanted)... and use a kitchen towel to wipe it off as I dab. This gives it a light color kiss effect. Then after it dries, I use a dry brush and brush with light pink. I chose to work with Prima Flight of Fancy papers.... perfect colors for this challenge. Add flowers, pearl swirls and chipboards. Pop some butterflies for dimensions. I am loving these combinations. Some close up shots: This mauve flower is my fave! Love the texture, love the jewel centre. So vintage....... so girly at the same time. It's like a brooch I find at my grandma's purse. These swirls are my fave because there are little rosebuds on them. And the felt vines are perfect color contrasts with the pinks. Thanks for dropping by!

Homemade goodies + Prima

Hello friends, how was your NSD weekend! Manage to do some scrapping?? Here are some post of home made goodies: 1) Altered tee Bought a all white tee from Mothercare..... and stamp with my fave Prima Butterfly stamp. I cut some fabric and made the 'tree'.... totally can withstand a 3yr old itchy fingers. She likes to pick around the edges of that 'tree'.. I love the ruffled green trunk. 2) Card Made this card to encourage someone to press on in her journey. We all need a little love and encouragement here and then. This is my way of saying "hi, keep walking... keep smiling.....' 3) Wedding Pillow Made this entirely of my own limited sewing skills. Cut some fabric into squares (hahah.. fairly easy) Then machine sew...... fill it with batting or wadding (whatever you call it). My kids calls it fluffy pillow. You know in church wedding, a page boy goes up with this cute pillow and hand the rings to the groom. Yap..... a couple I know is marrying in church next month. My gift to them. Hand made so they better use this!!!! Better than the 50 bucks store bought, I hope! And I embellished with gorgeous Prima flowers and trims. Prima released many beautiful stamps from the last CHA! Can you spot my stamped butterfly again! Love these. And that flourish stamps and alpha stamps also from Prima. That's the couple initials. That left bottom corner is for the rings to rest on... I will prob add a feature to hold the ring. Some close ups in another angle: Thanks for dropping by. Also saying "Hi' to new blog followers. thanks so much

YSS assignments

This months, YSS sent me a HUGE box of goodies. Seriously, I dont know where to start. After much 'staring' at all the goodies, I begin with the Teresa Collins Bebe girl collection. LO: Adore I followed LG's sketch for YSS for this LO. Did a 8.5x11 instead. And this flower is sooooo everywhere now. I had to make 1 myself. I stuff a trim as the centre. Don't you think it look like a cupcake! LOL I went clean lines with this "BeBe" too. She looks like a cute puppy? That's my younger girl when she was about 6 or 8 months. I can't remember. After doing clean lines, I have to do a shabby chic style. I can't run away from my style. haha. I layered a lace (actually curtain sheer) over cardstock. Love love the textures. Distress and tear papers to create a grid. Can you spot my Hambly Doily rubon and my Tattered Angels Butterflies. Have been hoarding these!!! Thanks for dropping by. Happy National Scrapbooking Day! And YSS is giving a 2 day special.......... 25% off everything in the store. Including sale items. That's a good deal. Check them out here and more giveaways at the blog. Happy shopping!
