The Scrappiest #109

This week we have a new sketch for you. This will be my last assignment with The Scrappiest. I am not applying for the next term. So ,thank you Liz for having me on the term. Fabulous inspiration every week. See all the inspiration>> HERE.
I decided to go 'purple' this week. Very bold colors from her favorite dress. Polka dots too! I think we are wearing this every sunday to church! LOL These photos were taken very near her birthday and I can see the little toddler has grown and is blooming to a girlie princess. Her smile, her charming words...... steal my heart and the Daddy's too! Here she is waving so happily when she saw her daddy in the distance.
Some techniques: 1) I used a large Prima flower and cut up the petals. Can you see the 'skirting' of purple at the left bottom. I brush some white paints over it too. Use your flowers in a creative way! Try this! 2) Flocked Rub ons - my newest fave from Prima. I love the fuzzy feel to these rub ons. What a great invention by Prima! 3) See the title "Girl"... it is actually floating... I cut a strip and instead of glueing it straight down, i only glue the end and allow the middle to float. Hmm..... do you understand me? haha... Since that paper is white, I misted it with a yellow Glimmer Mist to allow the Teal alphas to shine.
Hope you like this week inspiration. I will be back soon for more projects and layouts. Life is better now..... more organized but still I am looking forward to my children March School holidays.
