Websters Feb Challenge

This month over at Websters Pages, the challenge is to print your photo onto pattern paper. Lucy Edson gave a simple tutorial on how to do this. I just had to try it. So much texture and interest on the photo. I select a light color paper (I think it was the Christmas papers) and edited my photo with Photoshop. Love this photo of my girl holding my hand when she sleeps. Read my journaling later, ok!!! Get a kleenx ready! LOL "Hold My Hand"....... This LO was inspired by 3 different parts: First, Lucy challenge at Websters. Second: this local magazine in Singapore. Can you spot the blues, pinks and yellows I just love love this combination. So ethereal and soothing!!! Thirdly, I am inspired by Jaz's way of transforming the Christmas Paper. She painted it pink. I chose yellow and white paints....and mist with Shimmerz Sea Foam (blue)... it was babe-licious colours. I dab some pink (Worn Lipstick) crackle paints at the edges. Then I misted again with Pearl Mists (Maya Road) See the shimmer.... that is the Pearl Mist. I highly recommend that!!! YSS has that mist. Here how the Shimmerz and the Maya Mist looks. Gorgeous-ness together! A detailed shot: I love the Elle's Studio journaling cards (provided by YSS). it was a Valentine theme card but I used it for this baby LO. And did you spot that BLUE circle with our hands holding together. I mist it with a circle mask!!! Simple to do.... focus point for my story. And now, journaling: You are going thru a separation anxiety phrase... prob becos u started pre-school. Before you sleep, you need to hold my hand. That gives you peace and security. Sweetie, just know that I am always here for you. And to share some thing deep in my heart: Someone asked me why I was not chosen for DT for Websters...... Honestly I dont have an answer for that. I was pretty disappointed when the announcement was made. I honestly was happy for the 2 girls, Karola and Steph... they do gorgeous creations. I went thru some self evaluation and also 1 day to reflect. And of course, I think I have lots of room for improvement esp in the photo dept. I guess this whole DT ... nobody will know. Am I angry or bitter.... NO WAY! I refused to go down that road of resentment. I am still in love with Websters ...... I am still creating with their stuff. That's speaks of my love still. And I will be forever grateful to Terri and Brandin for giving me a chance to Guest DT for them. So, take life as it comes... celebrate.... and be thankful!

I am loving how everyone's photo on neutral pp is turning out for the WP challenge ! & the soft pastel colors wash look is just delicate !

I can relate to the separation anxiety phase , espeically for the No 2s in the family . ;)
