Did you see this?????
Yes.... I received a copy this morning and
was too excited to speak quite coherently.
My page is featured in a 2 page write up.... "Anatomy of a Page"....
This page actually talks about how you build the page...... giving details of some parts of the page.
I was certainly very surprised when this page was first requested. Very honored!
Thank you Somerset Magazines for publishing my page.
Now, that's my happy day! Hard to erase.
And if you are first time dropping by my blog, leave a comment or say Hi.
Would love to meet friends from across the globe too.
What inspires you? For me, it has to be words.
I am inspired by words which I want to journal down.
Stories which I want to tell.
Funny things my kids say...
or even things in my heart/mind which are unspoken.
I have been following Creative Therapy for 2 months... I think....
And I am always inspired by the prompt.
So, I did 1 this week forCreative Therapy Catalyst #104"What advice do you have for other couples?"
So appropriate cos one beautiful couple will be tying the knot this saturday
and I decided to make them this card and also my words inserted inside the gaps of the layers.
See this page: Advice to the husband "Love your wife"...... LOL
Actually it is from a Bible Text in Ephesians where Paul exhorts the husband to love the wife as Christ love the church.
And this... all wives will shudder a little. Just like me
But I still believe in Biblically teachings "Wife, submit to your husband."
I believe in this God given order for the family. So that there be bliss and harmony.
Here I will journal more of my thoughts and experiences.
Sharing my 13 years of marriage.
Another piece of advice: TAKE TIME... so important to take time to play, to date each other, have fun!
A marriage is just like a garden which requires our time and effort if we want to see it bloom and grow.
Behind this punchout area, I will insert a tag for the wife.
And finally, i use my Graphic 45 goodies on this altered canvas.
It measures 25cm by 50cm.
My present for this great couple.
Wishing all joy and bliss in this happy journey together!!!

Where have I been? This week is our children School Holidays. We called it the Mar holidays here. Just 1 week break from school. We head up to Malacca, just 2.5 hours drive up North to Malaysia. We love the place. Always quaint, always slower pace than Singapore... and loads of good food. Seriously we go there at least once a year.
It is nearer than KL and less busy..... and definitely safer than Johor Bahru. (Hee..hee..)
My hubby and I always want to sneak in time for the family... esp during the school holidays where it is not so rushed and hurried. We love being together with the kids... laughing silly in the car although less of 'are we there yet?" will be nice. We love holding hands and roaming along the streets and roads..... jumping at some cute stuff to buy.
My kids love spending the whole day at the pool though not very wise with the blazing sun.
Thank God for family. Thank God for little getaways like these!
Here's a pic of our hotel pool. It faces the sea!
Holiday Inn Malacca. Best view of the sea.
And see what i found. A lovely vintage looking birdcage. Good price too.
And 3 lovely birds. My children's fav now. They are playing with them as if they are real birds.
And today I collect my 'loot' from my scrap/spree pal. Such scrapping goodies waiting for me.
The best are the Heidi Swapp Mists. Not in Singapore yet!
I should be posting some projects this week
I had been rushing for the MM layout calls deadline.
Woohoo... how are you, my friends? Hope your weekend was fun!
I received my Mar DT box fromYSSlast thurs and I went to 'work' over the weekend.
I get to work with Graphic 45 "Le Romantique' papers....
i love the colors... so girly.. so romantic.. and
of course that piece with butterflies is my fave!
LO 1: "Warning to all future suitors"
I used my Anna Griffin die cut paper as the background. And I went with a grid to put 4 photos into 1 LO.
I just had to mist the papers a bit.. loving my "Vintage Pink' and "walnut gold".
Journaling: Warning to all future darling suitors. She has shown huge interest in shoes at a young age. Huge potential to be high maintenance".. hee..hee..."LO2: ...... "Share"
This is from LG "Friday Sketch"...... I rotate the sketch and place all the flowers and accents in a row under the photo. did you spot some misting... my Vintage Pink and Walnut Gold just go so well with this line of papers.
And I love this picture of Charis and I sharing a joke... we always laugh crazily over her silly stuff.
This is my life and I love it!
LO 3: "See possibilities"
This Month, the chosen member for YSS is "Catherine aka ScrappyCat".... all DT will get to scraplift her.
She did a Graphic 45 LO "Like Movie stars' where she used lots of tags and die cuts and cut outs... I lifted that idea and use it to mat my photos.
This LO is a reminder to myself to see possiblities in people, in things.. in opportunities... I wrote my journaling and hide it in that Maya Road Kraft envelope. Can you spot my gold misting? I am loving pink and gold lately.
All supplies seen here available from YSS.
And dont forget you can participate in many on going contests at YSS:
- load your LOs to our User Gallery. You may be chosen as the Featured Monthly Member. Win some goodies
- Sketch Friday.... yes... follow our Friday sketch, load it up and you can win more goodies
Did you see the Graphic 45 finalists? Wow... what a long list.
Good luck to all the talented ladies.
I didn't apply for the dt call this year... guess I just dont feel up to it.
