Playing with Glimmer Mists

Here are my experiments with glimmer mists! I love it! LO: Art happens at home Isn't this title so appropriate for me too? I like that my little girl loves to paint. She digs into my stash and creates her own colour. I read about this artist called Jackson Pollack. He was a famous American painter. From him, the famous term "action painting'... he paint from all directions, meaning he does not use a easel (a upright surface)... instead he spread his canvas on the floor and 'drips' paints in all direction. Read about him here. I was inspired by him. I sprayed marbles with glimmer mist and 'roll' them unto white cardstock(my canvas). Cool right. That's how I achieve the effect above. Sometimes I like to read outside of the scrapping world and into ART mediums, interior designing to get inspiration. This is one of them! Can you guess how many colours of glimmer mist on this one? My Journal page: I layered several tissue papers, of all texture onto this page. Stamp and spritz glimmer mist. But something I did which was different. I took a syringe and pull it into a bottle of glimmer mist. Then I 'inject' part of the canvas with mist. Yes.. I do not want the 'sprayed' effect... I want a patch.... see the top green part. See how the blop of mist travelled. I like it. Tag: God sent his angels I spritz 4 colours of glimmer mist onto a non stick sheet of paper. Then I put this tag over it. Love love the tie dye effect. Not a sprayed on look.... like pure magic colours on the background. Then I added my embellishments. That's a picture of me when I was little. The only few I have. It is blur, imperfect photo but I love it.
LO: Gran's Pillow
We love to use doily as a mask. I altered this doily by spraying it with "coffee shop" (a brown copper colour) and it came out so lovely for this LO.
LO: Beauty I use Yellow Daisy and Patina... love the combination of these 2 colours. So soothing on this page. I use a butterfly as a mask, then I journal inside. I also spritz on a fabric. I stamped, clear emboss butterflies and when I spritz on the mist, it resists it. LO: Precious Just layered on 4 different colours of glimmer mists. Love the look! Thanks for looking!
